Can a FLIGHT SIMMER Fly a Real Airbus? (Full Motion A320 Sim)
I've spent countless hours flying the Airbus A320 from my home flight simulator, but how much of that experience actually translates to flying the real thing?
To answer that question, I visited Simulator Adventures in Manchester to put my virtual flying to the ultimate test.
Simulator Adventures is home to a highly detailed full-motion Airbus A320 simulator, built by twin brothers Alan and Stewart Russell. With genuine Airbus sidesticks, a 6-axis motion system, and immersive 220° wraparound visuals, this is a very different experience to sitting at a desk flying on a computer.
With Alan alongside me, I take the controls for a flight from Zurich to Innsbruck, putting everything I've learnt from flight simulation to the test — including one of Europe's most spectacular approaches.
