The Flight Director brings together a professional background in creative direction, marketing, and content creation with a lifelong obsession with commercial aviation.

It started with the big jets — 737s, A320s, 777s, 787s, A350s, and everything in between. As a kid, there was something fascinating about the entire world of commercial aviation: the aircraft, the pilots, the uniforms, the airports, and the experience of flying. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 became the first taste of the virtual cockpit, before moving on to Flight Simulator X — armed with little more than a mouse and keyboard.

After several years away from flight simulation, a Mac Mini bought for creative work in 2025 led to a spontaneous installation of X-Plane — and everything changed.

Today, The Flight Director brings all of those passions together: aviation, flight simulation, and creative content. From simulators and events to real-world aviation experiences and the people behind them, TFD is about meeting people, hearing their stories, and taking flight simulation beyond the desktop to see where it leads.
